Local 943 Is a Winner

At the AFTCN (American Federation of Teachers Communicators Network) Conference held in Washington DC in July, Local 943 won two awards for their newsletter and website.

An article, A View from the AFT Convention, from the September 2006 of the newsletter received third place in the Best Feature Story category and was written by Donna Rehm, a school nurse in District 135. The judges commented that the story was a very personal relation on a first experience. Good work Donna.

943’s website, www.aft943.org, was awarded second place in the best web site category for the third consecutive year. The judge commented that it was a very active and interesting site. Be sure to visit the site and see all the useful information that is available to you.
