Members take advantage of “Retiring Wisely” workshop

On Tuesday, April 28, the Local hosted a retirement workshop for union members planning their retirement. The workshop was presented by Kyle Zake and Norb Filian from AXA Financial Professional Retirement Benefits Group. They provided pertinent information for retirement planning, including topics on TRS, IMRF, 403B plans, medical insurance and long term care options. The attendees felt the information was very useful and helped them with putting the plan of retirement into perspective by realizing retirement is a life changing decision and it takes thorough planning. It is more than a spur of the moment decision.
