Highlights of the IFT 2005 Convention

Eighteen members of Local 943 served as delegates to the 2005 IFT Convention held in St. Louis—February 18 to February 20. Workshops, general sessions and a working lunch kept all our delegates busy.

The highlights of the convention were:

Members Nancy Heskin and Deneen Pajeau elected IFT vice-presidents
A rousing speech given by Illinois Senator Barack Obama
Taking action on Governor Blagojevich’s proposed pension cuts
Five of our delegates serving as the first sergeants-at-arms at an IFT convention
