On Wednesday, October 19th, the Senate will vote on a part of the American Jobs Act that will keep teachers in the classroom, and police officers and firefighters from being laid off.

The Teachers and First Responders Back to Work Act will support nearly 400,000 education jobs, and keep thousands of police officers and firefighters on the job this year.
