Reimbursement Guidelines

1. Each council will be entitled to Local reimbursement for up to 8 members based on a membership formula similar to senator entitlement.
   
2. Local 943 will register and reimburse for the following Union training related ULI courses:
   
         Introduction to Collective Bargaining
         Grievance Administration
         Union Leadership Development
         Financial Analysis for Pre K-12 Districts
         Positive Negotiations
   
   

3. Members are encouraged to attend other ULI workshops offered but Local 943 will not reimburse for personal workshops. Individuals should register themselves. A reduced registration fee may be available from the IFT.
   

4. All requests for reimbursement must come through the council president to the Local 943 treasurer for pre-approval. The Local 943 treasurer will forward the registrations and all fees to the IFT.
   

5. Each applicant must commit to attend all three weekends for three-part courses.
   

6. Local reimbursement will provide the registration fee and up to $35 meal allowance for Saturday evening. (Breakfasts and lunches are included with the registration.)
   

7. Local 943 will reimburse for mileage to the ULI. Carpooling is encouraged.
   

8. ULI scholarships from the IFT are for three weekends for the registration and the double occupancy rate.
   

9. ULI registrations sent directly to the IFT will not be reimbursed.
   

10. In June, each council will be billed for any costs not covered by Local 943. (Room accommodations)
